Leadership encounters connecting executives, organizations, and ideas across Latin America.

At Westfield Business School, leadership development extends beyond the classroom. Through executive encounters, academic discussions, and professional networking experiences, we create spaces where business leaders, alumni, and industry experts engage with the challenges shaping organizations today.

During the first semester of 2026, Westfield Business School brought together executives, business leaders, alumni, and industry experts across Mexico, Peru, and Colombia through a series of leadership encounters focused on organizational culture, sustainability, innovation, technology, and strategic decision-making.

Each encounter reflected a different dimension of leadership while reinforcing a common objective: helping professionals navigate complex environments with greater clarity, responsibility, and impact.

Mexico — Organizational Culture as a Strategic Advantage

The Mexico encounter explored how organizational culture influences business performance, leadership effectiveness, and long-term competitiveness. The session featured Pedro Gasca, Vice President at Prestigio Mexico, who guided participants through the real-world case of Tostao, illustrating how organizational culture can become a strategic advantage when understood through practical experience rather than theory alone.

The session brought together executives and professionals interested in understanding how culture becomes a strategic asset capable of shaping decision-making, employee engagement, and organizational resilience.

Participants examined how leadership behaviors, organizational values, and internal alignment influence business outcomes in increasingly dynamic and competitive environments.

Peru — Strategic Leadership Through Triple Bottom Line

The Peru encounter focused on strategic leadership through the lens of Triple Bottom Line, exploring how organizations generate value for people, planet, and business simultaneously.

The discussion brought together leaders from different sectors to examine how sustainability, innovation, technology, and organizational culture contribute to responsible growth and long-term impact.

Marcela Aguayo shared insights from her entrepreneurial journey and the development of purpose-driven organizations. Mariale Soto explored sustainability as a strategic opportunity for organizations seeking to create measurable impact. Otto Vidal provided perspectives on technology adoption and business transformation, while Sergio Nacach addressed leadership, organizational culture, and high-performance teams.

Together, these perspectives highlighted how leadership increasingly requires balancing business performance with social responsibility and long-term value creation.

Colombia — AI and the Leadership Mindset Shift

The Colombia encounter addressed one of the most relevant leadership questions facing organizations today:

How can leaders integrate artificial intelligence into decision-making while preserving the human dimension of leadership?

The session featured Laura López Castilla, Head of Open Innovation and Ecosystems at Grupo Energía Bogotá; Julián Restrepo, founder of Vissua and AI storytelling strategist; and Alberto Lacouture, VP Growth LATAM at Prestigio.

Together, they shared practical perspectives on how artificial intelligence can strengthen leadership capabilities, improve decision-making, and create greater organizational value while preserving the human dimension of leadership.

A key component of the experience was the AI adoption assessment, which invited participants to reflect on their relationship with emerging technologies and identify opportunities for more strategic implementation within their organizations.

Leaders representing organizations across sectors contributed practical perspectives on how artificial intelligence is influencing business models, organizational culture, and strategic priorities.

The encounter reinforced a central idea: artificial intelligence does not replace human leadership. Its greatest value emerges when leaders use it to enhance judgment, creativity, innovation, and impact.

Westfield Alumni Community

The first semester also provided opportunities for alumni engagement, strengthening the connections that extend beyond graduation and continue throughout professional careers.

Westfield alumni participated in networking sessions, executive conversations, and collaborative exchanges that reinforced the value of belonging to a global learning community.

These interactions created opportunities to share experiences, exchange perspectives, and strengthen professional relationships across industries and countries.
