Leadership, Character and Learning from Failure
Iris Fujiura, Westfield Global Ambassador and speaker at the Global Immersion Week in San Francisco, invited graduates not to fear failure and to see it as a path to professional growth.
“Failure is learning wrapped in a bitter shell. Don’t fear failure; fear not learning, fear not testing how far you can go.”
Fujiura also spoke about leadership with character.
“It is better to be called demanding but fair than simply nice.”
She closed with a collective call:
“Together, we can change the world.”
Ignacio Maroto was recognized as Outstanding Practitioner Faculty for his ability to connect strategic concepts with real-world business practice.
Ana Landeta was selected as Outstanding Lecturer Faculty, recognized for her academic clarity and her contribution to dynamic learning within Westfield’s global environment.
Westfield Business School wishes these 71 new leaders continued success in this new professional chapter.
