Westfield Business School welcomed the first STEM-focused cohort of its Master in Financial Analytics for the Summer ’26 academic cycle. Comprising a group of five professionals residing in the state of Florida, this first cohort marks the beginning of an academic offering designed to prepare professionals for the analytical and financial challenges of today’s global environment.
The program combines education in financial analysis, data, and technology with the development of leadership competencies. Its hybrid structure integrates synchronous and asynchronous online activities with intensive in-person sessions at the Westfield Business School campus in Miami.
An Experience That Begins with Self-Awareness
The academic journey of this first cohort formally started in July with the initial phase of the Leadership Package: the personal development component delivered through the Self-Assessment Track.
This stage reflects one of the components of the Westfield Business School educational model: complementing quantitative analytics education with human and leadership development.
During the first weeks, students worked on conscious leadership competencies, self-awareness, identifying their strengths, and defining their life and career plans, with the goal of preparing to navigate dynamic and complex (VUCA) environments.
From Analytical Strategy to the Classroom in Miami
After completing this initial phase of personal leadership development, students moved into courses within the technical Data Analysis and Decision-Making block.
On the weekend of August 29 and 30, the Westfield Business School campus on Brickell Avenue in Miami welcomed members of the cohort for their first in-person meeting.
During these sessions, students joined their professors and classmates for case analysis, group discussions, and collaborative activities, combining online learning with the in-person experience included in the program’s hybrid format.
A Master in Financial Analytics with a STEM Focus
The Master in Financial Analytics at Westfield Business School is designed to prepare professionals to make strategic financial decisions supported by data, technology, and an ethical perspective.
The program lasts 16 months and is organized into four academic semesters. Its six-week courses combine synchronous and asynchronous online content and activities with intensive in-person weekends at the Miami campus.
Its STEM focus incorporates practical education in tools and areas including Python, SQL, SAS, data mining, Machine Learning applied to finance, and quantitative models. In this way, financial education is integrated with analytical and technological capabilities applicable to decision-making processes.
Finance with a Comprehensive Perspective
The academic offering also incorporates the Triple Bottom Line model, integrating People, Planet, and Profit criteria into financial planning and strategy.
Throughout the program, students also have the opportunity to develop a Capstone Project applied to real business challenges and have the option to participate in Global Immersion Weeks in global innovation hubs.
These components extend the learning experience beyond quantitative analysis and connect financial and technological tools with real-world business situations and challenges.

The launch of this first cohort represents a new step in the academic offering of Westfield Business School in Miami.
